Event Details

Formerly known as NALP, this course asks participants to think about the leasing process from both the prospective resident’s and the current resident’s point of view. This helps conceptualize the idea that everything they learn is important when building a successful leasing relationship. Leasing professionals learn professionalism, teamwork, relevant laws, effective sales processes, virtual leasing and market analysis, all with the goal of developing the skills they need to successfully bring in and retain residents. Engaging videos and lively discussions help to bring the key points to life.

To earn the CALP credential, candidates must complete the following: Minimum of six months of onsite property management experience in a leasing role (Experience can be obtained while taking the course; you will receive a provisional certificate until this requirement is met.) Successful completion of seven CALP courses as well as successful completion of the CALP examination within six months of declaring candidacy will result in completion of the credential.

The CALP Online credential contains the following individual course modules, which can also be purchased individually: Bringing in New Residents: Be Prepared Marketing and Maintaining Your Community; Why Your Competition Matters; Relevant Laws and How to Apply Them; The Sales Process and Building Relationships; Effectively Meeting the Needs of Current Residents and Market Analysis for Leasing Professionals
